Gameguard 255 :
This issue is typically caused by outdated Drivers or false/positive read from your Firewall and occurs when trying to launch the Game.

  1. First of all you should go through all the steps mentioned above.
  2. If that doesn't solve the problem it could have something to do with your graphic card driver (GPU drivers and Gameguard bite each other) so make sure that your graphic card drivers are up-to-date.
    If you want to check your current driver version you can do it this way:
    • Start > Run (or Flag + R) Note: Flag is the key with the Windows* logo on it.
    • Type DxDiag in the Run Window.
    • Press Enter.
    • Navigate to the tab listed as Display 1.
    • The driver version is listed under the Driver section as Version.
    • If it says 1113.333 that means your current Driver is on Version 3.333 the first number before and the following numbers after the dot are important.

Game wont start (see launcher.exe log):
In that case the logfile usually looks like this:
File "ShapedFrame.pyo", line 238, in OnButtonClick

[Error:::mNPC.Init()]:
If you experience the [Error:::mNPC.Init()] please go trough the steps im showing you in my video guide, just restoring the missing file is just a temporary solution the problem will mostlikely occur again if you don't set proper exclusions in WinDef.
Make sure to add the TS2.exe and TS2.launcher in the outbound and inbound rules after that go into your TS2 folder ("C:\GeniusOrc\TwelveSky2\PRESENTVERSION.DAT") change the .dat from 00040 to 00039 and restart the game, the launcher should update now and it will restore the missing file on its own.
